Prince Michael Owokoya, born in Lagos and with roots in Ijebu Royalty, is a successful career banker, leading the Yoruba community in Colorado as the President of Yoruba Ni Colorado (YNC). A trailblazer, he established the first Yoruba-owned Nigerian restaurant in Denver and holds key roles as CEO at Excellency Mobility, LLC, and Blessings Investment Inc. With a master's degree in project management. Prince Michael is also an author, known for "Our Beautiful Mind" and the upcoming "Nothing Is Ever Too Late." Beyond his achievements, he enjoys music, cooking, and has a rich background as a former professional soccer player in Lagos. Happily married with three boys, he embodies a dynamic and accomplished life.
Adetola Obiwole, a healthcare professional and community leader in Colorado for the past decade, organizes health fairs in collaboration with churches, Inner City Health, UCHealth, and CU Skaggs School of Pharmacy, benefiting thousands annually. Recognized for her dedication to health equity, she received a Certificate of Excellence in January 2023. As the Vice President of Yoruba Ni Colorado, she supports her Nigerian community and serves as the co-lead for UC Health Metro's Diversity and Inclusion board. Adetola was honored as a CU ANSCHUTZ ALUMNI HERO in 2023 for her contributions to training future pharmacists. She holds a Pharm.D, BS in Medical Laboratory Science, and a BA in Theology.
Omooba George Adeolu Sotade is a dedicated leader with a remarkable journey that began in primary school, showcasing early commitment to youth activism. With extensive volunteer experience and leadership roles in various organizations, he holds an MBA and certifications in Project Management, Cisco, and Ethical Hacking. Serving 22 years in the Lagos State Government and contributing to housing and sales in the private sector, his achievements include global travel for professional development. Notable roles in the U.S. include positions with British Petroleum and United Airlines. Omooba George Adeolu Sotade's leadership spans national and international organizations, reflecting a compassionate and goal-oriented commitment to serving young people and the less privileged.
Lukman Olawale was born in Ikirun, Osun state of Nigeria. He is an Information Technology auditor with years of experience in technology audits for clients from various industries across the globe. Apart from his career, Lukman is also actively involved in promoting his culture and community. Currently, he is serving as the Public Relation Officer (PRO) of Yoruba Ni Colorado. Lukman has always been passionate about his culture and finding ways to educate youths about the Yoruba culture and African diaspora. He is a role model who embodies the values of Omolúàbí - individuals of good character and virtue.
Olusegun David Kukoyi was born in Suru-Lere, Lagos, Nigeria, hails from the Kukoyi royal family in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. Olusegun has over two decades of professional experience spanning construction, telecommunications, power systems and safety, he is currently the CEO of the David Kuksie group. He is currently the Social Secretary of Yoruba in Colorado, happily married to a beautiful wife and an amazing daughter.
